|n Murder Becomes Miami, Bree orders a vesper martini during a strategy session at The Fontainebleau Hotel. A classic mid-century modern cocktail, the vesper martini achieved even greater popularity when Ian Fleming's character James Bond ordered one in the 1953 novel, Casino Royale.
But you don't have to be a supersleuth to enjoy the elegant beverage. We've provided you here with a grand recipe for the cocktail which, if you prepare it carefully, will leave you (if not stirred) quite shaken.
VESPER MARTINI RECIPE
3 oz. of your favorite premium gin
1 oz. of your favorite premium vodka
.5 oz of Lillet Blanc
1 lemon peel
Add the above ingredients into a mixing container. Fill with ice.
Shake mixture until ice cold, strain into chilled martini glasses.
Twist a lemon peel over each martini, rub it along the edge of the glass and drop it in.
